Belmont Assembly of God Reopening Survey & FAQ
We miss you, Belmont family! With our church planning on reopening in the month of August 2020, we want to hear from you. While adhering to social distancing guidelines given to us by the Illinois Department of Health, we would still like to know how you and your families feel regarding your return to church. Our reopening plans are as follows:
- We will reopen sometime in August with services at 6050 W Belmont Ave at 10AM & 12PM for English, and at 6120 W Belmont at 10AM & 12PM for Spanish.
- All attendees must bring their own masks and wear them at all times while inside the building.
- We are not offering children’s ministry at this time, so if you bring your kids, they must sit with you for the duration of the service.
- Each family or individual will be assigned seating so that we maintain safe social distancing.
- Pre-registration* is required to attend. Space is limited and will be addressed on a first-come, first-served basis.
*We are working on creating a registration portal at this time. Please check back later for updates on how to pre-register for services at Belmont Assembly of God.

F.A.Q.
When is Belmont Assembly going to open again?
At this time, we believe we will begin meeting in month of August. We are tentatively looking to our local government and Department of Health and we are working to take the necessary measures to ensure a safe time of meeting together.
What services will be provided when we do open?
Sunday services will take place at 10AM & 12PM for English & Spanish services at 6050 W Belmont, as well as 6120 W Belmont Ave, respectively. Our goal is to host our services, yet have no more than 50% of our usual attendance per service. There will be no mid-week services other than Excel Youth.
Are we implementing phases?
As of now, we are planning to open only with 10AM and 12PM services for English and Spanish congregations. We will be implementing phases as recommended by the Illinois Department of Health. Upon arrival, registration and seating will be coordinated by us to ensure your safety.
When will we have childcare?
Childcare will launch slowly, possibly starting at the end of this year. Information on this decision will come forth as we feel it safe and appropriate.
Will there be options for families?
Until a full relaunch is available, we will continue to provide Virtual Sunday School curriculum on our CK website http://compasskids.us/ as well as our Wednesday night CK Fun Nights via Facebook Live.
What about midweek prayer services?
We will not be meeting for our midweek prayer services just yet. Therefore, we would ask that all prayer services continue to meet via Zoom or Facebook Live at 7PM for English and Spanish congregations on their respective dates. As restrictions lift, we will welcome these groups to meet on campus. More details will be provided at a later date.
Will we continue online broadcasts?
Yes!!!! We will continue to provide online broadcasts for English service at 10AM and Spanish service at 12PM. For those unable to attend at this time; please continue to join us online and invite your friends! We have expanded our family during these months via online services, and we hope to continue as we engage with people from many places and nations! Do I need to wear a mask?
Yes, including during worship. It’s a joy to meet together, but we must remain diligent and practical to keep everyone safe.
What are some logistical items that I need to be aware of?
a) Parking: There will be no double-parking in the lots. Once all normal spaces are used, only street parking would be available.
b) Restrooms: Restroom capacity will be monitored/limited due to social distancing restrictions and sanitation requirements. Restrooms in both 6050 and 6058 will be utilized to assist with demands/restrictions.
Will there be a preparatory “Pre-launch?”
Yes!!! Once we finalize the plans to open, we will have an “Orientation Sunday” for our church leadership and staff. Our full worship teams, sanitizing teams, children’s ministry, and youth leadership will be invited to come for a “Prep Sunday.” They will provide much needed feedback to allow us to discover areas that need our attention so we can make “Welcome Back Sunday" as perfect as possible.
What about summer camps? VBS? Outreaches? Seeds of Compassions etc.?
There are no camps right now, but our pastors and ministry leaders will be communicating these updates. Please stay connected with us via social media for any updates.
Is the Seeds of Compassion food pantry and clothing depot open?
Seeds of Compassion is operating on a case by case basis. Please call and leave a voicemail message for Seeds of Compassion by calling us at (773)725-2116 and selecting Seeds of Compassion when prompted.
How can I give?
We are grateful for your faithfulness to give during this time and celebrate the fact that God is providing for His church, through His people and their faithfulness in giving. If you have any questions on how to give online, please visit www.belmontag.org/donate. If you have any questions about giving, ask online during a broadcast, we are available to assist you via Chat.
