PHOTO TEAM

Mission

God has given us eyes to see and a heart to capture it. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then every photo we take has the ability to speak thousands of words into the lives of people we will never know. It’s not possible for us to comprehend the reach and impact that our images might have. Belmont's Photo Team looks to offer a creative outlet for people to express how God can be seen in everything around us. If you have experience, a camera, and a heart for serving, Belmont's Photo Team has a place for you.

Details & Values

Vision

To use our God-given gifts of photography and creativity to serve the local church and the Kingdom, and build community.

Goal

To capture moments in time: joy, praise, worship, baptism, fellowship, ministries, etc., that inspire and move people towards their next step in their faith journey.

The Bigger Picture

It’s not about the church using YOUR photo, it’s about using the shot that accomplishes the goal. A commitment to the Photo Team means being available or keeping open communication about your schedule so that there is always a photographer covering an event.

A Heart To Serve

The bottom line of what we’re doing is serving the church community. Always keep that in mind while shooting.

Communication is Key

The only way this works seamlessly is if we keep an open channel of communication. (Scheduling/communication method via Planning Center)

#Together

We’re in this together. No question too small, no ask too big. Give us a call or shoot us a text!

Etiquette

• Do not use flash during services/events unless pre-approved by Jonathan or Kirby.

• Avoid distracting the congregation when possible (it's why we usually wear black at BAG).

• Respect privacy during intimate moments. Be mindful of your distancing. Avoid abrupt movement.

• Do not provide unwarranted “direction” or prompting that interferes with flow of service or event.

• When photographing children/minors, do not capture their name tags or any other identifying info.

• If you’re unable to shoot your scheduled service/event, communicate with Jonathan or Kirby ASAP.

Know The Fundamentals

Having a good understanding of how the image is formed, and how to control it, gives you more creative control over your final images. It will take a little time to absorb all the relationships, terms and figures.
