It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ed Urban, a beloved member of Belmont Assembly of God. Edward Francis Urban, age 76, U.S. Army Veteran during the Vietnam War. He was born in Chicago on June 25, 1947, and born into eternity on January 14, 2024. Edward was the most loving husband of Norma J. Urban. Ed served Belmont Assembly of God into Kingdom success. One of our elders, Gary Alioto, has a few things to say about Mr. Urban. "Ed happily served in the Parking Lot ministry for several years at Belmont. When his wife, Norma (Jean) had some medical problems, he tended to her needs faithfully and hung up his parking lot security vest. Ed kept pushing Norma to come back to church after her medical problems and she was glad he did. They both enjoy the Belmont community and the outstanding ministry that they receive. I recently found out that Ed was a perfectionist when it came to making things out of wood. He has made many quality items over the years for his family and they cherish them. I am sure that his skillset will not go to waste as he is now in the presence of the 'Master Carpenter'!!!" A Visitation for Edward will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home, West Wing Venue, 6901 West Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL 60634. A Final Visitation will occur Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM, 6901 West Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL 60634. We want to thank ALL those who came out to make another Belmont Cragin Community Food Giveaway a success! #Together, over 600 cars drove through our lot to receive 43 pallets worth of free food that was given to 1,000 families in our area! First and foremost, this was a blessing from God as well as a joint effort with Convoy of Hope, our 30th Ward Alderwoman Ruth Cruz, and many more who prayed, gave, and worked hard to make it happen.
